The Role: As a User Experience (UX) Design Intern, you will collaborate with CPI’s Design, Product, and Development teams to create user-centered designs. This role will focus on contributing to projects that make a real impact on users by creating intuitive and delightful digital experiences. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in user experience design, work with a talented team, and grow your skills in a supportive and innovative environment.
What You Get To Do Everyday: - Conduct user research to understand target audiences, their needs, and pain points. Analyze data and feedback to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and solutions visually.
- Develop and style basic web pages using HTML and CSS.
- Assist in planning and conducting usability testing sessions. Gather insights and iterate on designs based on test results.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Developers, and other Designers, to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of our design system to ensure consistency across products.
- Prepare design specifications and guidelines for developers to use for implementation.
- Collect and incorporate feedback from team members to refine and improve designs.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
You Need to Have: - High School diploma or GED
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or a related field
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Basic data analysis skills
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and processes
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Proficiency with design software (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)
- Eager to learn, motivated, and able to take constructive feedback
- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Attention to detail to ensure content accuracy and consistency
- Ability to learn new tools and platforms quickly and apply knowledge effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating with a team
- Ability to manage deadlines and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Accountability for work produced
- Positive attitude, high-energy
What We Offer: - $18.00 - $20.00/hour
- June - August schedule
