Mid-Level Civil/Structural Engineer – Remote (Contract or Direct Hire)

System One is seeking a Mid-Level Civil/Structural Engineer with commercial nuclear experience to support a leading client in the nuclear energy sector. This is a remote position offering both contract and direct hire opportunities.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design and analysis of critical structures, including concrete, steel, and seismic components, supporting projects that advance clean energy initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Perform structural analysis and design of nuclear-related facilities and components.
Develop design documentation, calculations, and technical reports.
Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure compliance with design codes and project requirements.
Utilize FEA software and engineering tools to support design validation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET accredited).
3–5 years of relevant civil/structural engineering experience.
Commercial nuclear industry experience required.
Proficiency with FEA software such as ANSYS, STAAD, GTSTRUDL, and Mathcad.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
