Job Opening: Staff Accountant
Location: Monroe, GA
Company: Tucker Door & Trim
Salary: $55,000 – $60,000
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 100% In-Office
Role Overview:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and ensuring financial compliance through accurate preparation of company reports and statements. This position plays a key role in accounting and financial operations and reports directly to the Assistant Controller. Key Responsibilities
Primary Focus Areas:

• Month-End Preparation: Assist with and perform month-end close processes
• Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and maintain financial statements
• Production Reporting: Complete production reporting to support operational accuracy
• Payroll Processing: Perform payroll duties

General Accounting Responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting tasks including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls
• Communicate effectively with internal departments to meet strict timelines
• Deliver accurate and timely financial information to management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• Strong understanding of accounting and GAAP principles
• Experience supporting or participating in audits (a plus)
• Highly task-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software preferred
