Overview: Lead health and safety efforts on a hydroelectric construction or maintenance project, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Oversee safety personnel, implement site-specific safety programs, and promote a culture of safety excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead all on-site safety activities and programs. Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans. Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions. Provide safety training and toolbox talks for all personnel. Advise on safety for heavy lifts, rigging, electrical hazards, confined spaces, and elevated work. Maintain records of incidents, inspections, and safety metrics. Ensure compliance with OSHA, USACE standards, and other applicable regulations. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in HSE management on industrial or construction projects, preferably in the energy industry.Strong knowledge of =OSHA regulations and hydroelectric site hazards.
