DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the strategic development and sourcing of third-party logistics (3PL) solutions for Amazon's fulfillment network. This role will bridge Amazon's capacity planning needs with 3PL capabilities, designing innovative solutions that enhance our network flexibility while ensuring commercial viability. You'll be instrumental in evaluating, structuring, and implementing partnerships that expand our fulfillment capabilities through strategic 3PL relationships.
Key job responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning and development of 3PL solutions, translating Amazon's network expansion needs into commercially viable partnerships while ensuring operational excellence and cost-effectiveness through innovative 3PL solutions.
- Lead strategic planning and solution design for 3PL network expansion in partnership with capacity planning teams
- Develop and negotiate commercial frameworks and operational agreements with 3PL partners
- Drive cost modeling and financial analysis to ensure solution viability and optimization
- Translate internal business requirements into executable 3PL solutions
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key 3PL partners while representing their capabilities internally

Your expertise in supply chain operations will help bridge the gap between Amazon's business needs and 3PL capabilities. Whether you're analyzing network optimization opportunities, structuring new partnership agreements, or designing innovative fulfillment solutions, you'll play a crucial role in shaping Amazon's future fulfillment landscape.
Note: Position might require up to 10% travel mainly to 3PL sites
About the team
The External Fulfillment organization at Amazon manages our third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships, including performance management across our network. Within this organization, you will join the North America External Fulfillment Strategy team, where we're responsible for the strategic direction, sourcing, and implementation of 3PL solutions. Our team's mission is critical to expanding Amazon's network capacity through innovative and efficient partnerships while ensuring seamless integration with our fulfillment ecosystem.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
