The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - WEST role is instrumental in developing and maintaining Thought Leader (TL) scientific engagement plans in the West region. This role requires the individual to provide comprehensive scientific education and training to internal and external stakeholders in alignment with company initiatives and areas of interest, gathering insights that inform strategy. In this role, expertise in the clinical and technical aspects of the portfolio will be required in supporting customer interactions, addressing queries, and ensuring all training reflects the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop a network of TLs and maintain ongoing relationships to provide scientific information and gather insights to help direct strategy • Create and maintain a scientific engagement plan with thought leaders to provide comprehensive medical and scientific education to external customers • The generation of actionable insights will come from TL interactions, attending and reporting back on Congresses, staying current in relevant literature, tracking social media influencers, and preparing summaries with key perspectives to cross-functional teams including competitor analysis• Deliver scientific and technical support for the field-based sales force, acting as a reliable partner to support their immediate needs through non-promotional training, education, presentations, and other engagements. As part of the training, this role will be responsible for creating, delivering and keeping up-to-date training modules and materials that effectively communicate the practical applications of the product• Deliver impactful scientific and clinical presentations to physicians, healthcare providers and other stakeholders as needed• Provide support to help Medical Information in dealing with enquiries• Organize, develop content, and present at advisory board meetings• Develop, review and maintain scientifically approved content, assets and presentations• Assist Medical Information by supporting enquiries and providing field-based expertise• Stay up to date on knowledge and awareness of Aesthetic clinical research and publications.• Support the company's research by identifying investigators, undertaking scientific exchange, and providing feedback and insight to medical and clinical teams. • In alignment with the leadership team, plan and recommend speakers for symposia at national aesthetic meetings. This role includes brief speakers and ensuring their delivery is impactful.
Qualifications: • MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent• Demonstrated experience in the aesthetics industry preferred• Ability to create robust well researched and documented scientific content (written and symposia)• Strong network of medical contacts within aesthetic clinics preferred.• Self-disciplined and motivate with strong organizational skills and can-do positive approach and outlook.• Willingness to travel 80% of the time• Experience in developing and delivering customer training initiatives that entail the safe and effective use of products and devices.• Previous experience related to medical and/or clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical, or biotechnology, or medical devices industry would be desirable • Excellent communication and presentation skills required• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally• Knowledge of regulatory processes required
