NAVOCEANO's Engineering Department (N7) is seeking a qualified MAZAK Certified Technician to provide full-spectrum support for the MAZAK VCN 510C-II Machining Center , equipped with the Mazatrol Matrix Nexus Controller . This role is essential to ensuring the continued operational accuracy and reliability of NAVOCEANO’s high-precision fabrication capabilities, which support U.S. Navy oceanographic missions.
Perform calibration , preventive maintenance (PM) , and corrective maintenance (CM) on the MAZAK VCN 510C-II system.
Ensure equipment accuracy and uptime to meet NAVOCEANO operational needs.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electronic issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain service logs and documentation in accordance with NAVOCEANO protocols.
Interface professionally with government personnel to coordinate service visits and communicate maintenance outcomes.
Respond to unscheduled maintenance requests and provide on-call support as necessary (during standard operating hours).
Comply with all applicable safety, security, and quality standards at the Stennis Space Center.
MAZAK Certification : Must be a certified MAZAK technician with documented experience servicing the MAZAK VCN 510C-II and similar systems.
Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in machine tool calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance—preferably in a defense or high-security environment.
Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of CNC machining systems, including Mazatrol Matrix Nexus controllers.
Tools & Equipment : Must be able to supply necessary tools, calibration equipment, and materials to complete service tasks (except for Government-Furnished Property).
Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document procedures, reports, and service records clearly.
Prior experience working in government or military facilities.
Familiarity with Department of Defense maintenance protocols and procedures.
OSHA or other safety certifications relevant to machinery maintenance.
Work is performed on-site at a secure government facility.
Contractor must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations as well as NAVOCEANO operational standards.
Work hours are between 0700–1800 CST, Monday to Friday , excluding Federal holidays and government facility closures due to emergencies or administrative reasons.
