Amazon is seeking a Legal Assistant to support the Amazon Studios Legal Team. The successful candidate will have proven ability to complete high volumes of administrative tasks and deliver complex projects quickly with high autonomy; be confident reacting with appropriate urgency to situations that require quick responses; support multiple internal clients; and proactively and creatively solve challenges that affect the team. The candidate will have great attention to detail and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands effectively. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information is essential.
Key job responsibilities
- Arranging the execution of contracts
- Developing and implementing simplification projects
- Outside counsel management, including budgeting and invoicing support
- Developing and leading business training on legal tools
- General administration tasks needed to support the business and legal teams
- Distributing correspondence, gathering metrics, maintaining project trackers, preparing reports, and maintaining files
- Meeting coordination, organizing travel arrangements, and creating and submitting expense reports
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of professional or military experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
- BA/BS degree
- Legal work experience or demonstrated interest in a legal career
- Professional experience supporting clients, managing high volumes of requests, and meeting deadlines
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgement in ambiguous situations
- Strong written and spoken communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $43,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $92,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
