Are you passionate about science and making a real difference in patient care? We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Histology Technician to join our dynamic pathology team. In this vital role, you'll help prepare tissue specimens that are essential for accurate diagnoses and life-saving treatments. Schedule: 24-30 hours/week Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Enjoy a consistent evening schedule with no weekend shifts! What you'll do: you'll be at the heart of our laboratory operations, working closely with pathologists to ensure high-quality specimen preparation. Your responsibilities will include: + Embedding, cutting, and staining a wide variety of tissue samples. + Preparing solutions and reagents, and performing quality control checks. + Operating and maintaining lab equipment, including microtomes and staining machines. + Performing special histochemical and plastic techniques. + Ensuring accurate labeling, documentation, and storage of specimens. + Collaborating with team members and supporting lab operations with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. ✅ What You Bring: + MINIMUM of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a high-volume histology lab. + Proficiency in routine and special histopathological techniques. + Certification as a Histologic Technician (HT) through ASCP or eligibility to sit for the exam. + A Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (preferred). + A commitment to quality, accuracy, and culturally sensitive service. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
