Our client is looking for a skilled Global Procurement Manager to oversee procurement strategies and operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead cross-functional teams, build strong supplier relationships, and drive cost-effective solutions while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Based in Olive Branch, Mississippi, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the supply chain and supporting organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain a high-performing global procurement team to ensure efficient material sourcing and compliance with trade policies.
- Collaborate across departments to identify procurement needs, evaluate suppliers, and oversee the negotiation of contracts and pricing.
- Develop and execute strategies for sourcing materials and services, including creating RFQs and evaluating supplier proposals.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials while supporting product development initiatives.
- Implement cost-saving measures and strategic sourcing plans to align with company objectives.
- Communicate procurement strategies and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
- Oversee procurement transactions such as purchase orders, receipts, and invoice processing.
- Monitor and optimize logistics metrics, including cost, tracking, and delivery performance.
- Build strategic vendor relationships and drive negotiations to achieve targeted cost savings.
- Act as a liaison between production, R& D, and customers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of materials.
Requirements - Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate procurement or a related field.
- Expertise in procurement functions, including purchase orders and buying processes.
- Strong skills in contract negotiations and supplier management.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments, particularly electronic and automotive sectors.
- Proficiency in SAP and other procurement-related systems.
- Knowledge of global manufacturing operations and cost optimization strategies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as R& D, engineering, and production.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills to support strategic decision-making.
