Director of Operations (Hotel Experience - Marriott) 

SpringHill Suites Miami Downtown/Medical Center 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations with a strong background in hospitality management, particularly within Marriott hotels. This leadership role is paramount to ensuring the overall operational effectiveness and success of our hotel properties. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills and a proven track record of enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency in a high-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

- Oversee daily operations of the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction, service excellence, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize workflow, improve guest experiences, and sustain a high level of service delivery.
- Implement and maintain Marriott brand standards and operational protocols to elevate the hotel's reputation.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs while maximizing profitability and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of teamwork, growth, and personal development.
- Navigate and resolve operational challenges promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as with Marriott's corporate policies and procedures.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies that promote growth and enhance the hotel's market presence.
- Prepare and present reports on operational performance, guest satisfaction, and strategic initiatives to senior management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior operational role within a Marriott hotel or similar large-scale hotel environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage complex logistics and staff across various departments.
- Exceptional communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel operations, including reservations, front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with applicable hotel management software, such as Fosse or similar systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
