This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer - Infrastructure & Cloud Platforms in the United States.

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage resilient, scalable on-prem cloud infrastructure and orchestration platforms. In this role, you will build high-performance systems that support demanding workloads, including AI/ML and creative pipelines, while automating processes for efficiency and reliability. You will collaborate closely with engineering, creative, and security teams to ensure infrastructure is optimized, secure, and aligned with business and production goals. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and brings hands-on experience in cloud orchestration, containerized applications, and infrastructure automation. Accountabilities

• Build, manage, and optimize virtualization and cloud orchestration platforms, including OpenNebula and Kubernetes.
• Deploy and maintain containerized workloads across on-prem Kubernetes clusters.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications and internal tools.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer.
• Set up and configure physical infrastructure: servers, storage arrays, and networking equipment.
• Administer Linux and Windows environments across studio infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and health using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
• Maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
• Ensure secure data handling practices, including encryption and access controls.
• Document systems, processes, and runbooks for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for engineering and creative teams.
• Support compliance with industry standards, including NIST, ISO, and media-specific guidelines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or related roles.
• Strong Linux and Windows administration across multiple distributions.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience, including cluster setup, configuration, and optimization.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Packer.
• Experience with on-prem cloud platforms like OpenNebula.
• Familiarity with physical infrastructure setup, software-defined networking, and Kubernetes networking stacks.
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and pipeline design.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, creative environments and collaborate across teams.
  
  Bonus Skills:
• GPU orchestration and AI/ML pipelines.
• Experience with creative tools like Deadline, Nuke, Houdini, or Maya.
• Background in VFX, gaming, architecture, or scientific computing.
• Contributions to open-source or technical communities.
