Essential functions and responsibilities?of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements?and business needs We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Compost Sorters. This role is essential to our waste diversion and sustainability initiatives. The primary responsibility is to sort through waste bags collected from all events, accurately separating materials into recycling, compost, and landfill categories. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work on your feet for extended periods, and a strong commitment to environmental stewardship. Sorters will be stationed in a designated sorting area and are expected to maintain efficiency and accuracy throughout their shift. **Long Description** COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $21.06 to $23.34. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting. For jobs in San Francisco, this includes the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. **Job Responsibilities** + Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations + Maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others + Accurately maintains and cleans housekeeping equipment + Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements + Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas + Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel + Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required + Ensures security of company assets At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice. **Qualifications** + Previous custodial experience preferred. + Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals + Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers + Adaptable to guests? needs This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
