Job Summary

We  ar e seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. This individual will be responsible for gathering, interpreting, and documenting business needs, and translating them into application requirements, operational requirements, use cases, and test cases. The role serves as a critical liaison between internal business units, external vendors, software development teams, and testing teams.

 

Job Description

  • Use a variety of techniques including interviews, workshops, process descriptions, and use cases to gather and validate requirements.
  • Analyze current business processes and recommend sustainable and measurable process improvements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Assist in the design and review of test cases and ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate multiple projects, manage priorities effectively, and ensure timely delivery of quality work.
  • Identify potential risks, report project obstacles, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for business analysis practices and methodologies.
  • Lead or contribute to the most complex and impactful projects, exercising creativity and sound judgment in solving unique challenges.
  • Support informed decision-making through strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Apply advanced business analysis principles, practices, and methodologies within a complex organizational framework.
  • Collaborate with project managers, executives, developers, test coordinators, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to elicit and clarify business and technical requirements.

 

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business and/or technical analysis.
  • At least 2 years of experience participating in or managing projects.
  • Strong technical writing skills and experience with business documentation.
  • Experience with utility or energy-related projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with JIRA or similar tools for tracking requirements, use cases, and user stories is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data management, IT infrastructure, and process engineering is a plus.
  • Understanding of databases, networking, servers, software development, and data center operations is preferred .

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

 

Additional Details

  • CBAP Certified Business Analysis Professional (preferred)
  • CCBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (preferred)
